Grammy Award Winner Chaka Khan to Perform at AIDS Foundation of Chicago Gala

WHAT:
The AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) brings diva Chaka Khan to her hometown of Chicago for AFC's 11th annual black-tie benefit "Not Just Song & Dance." For more than three decades Chaka Khan has been mesmerizing audiences with hits such as "I'm Every Woman," "Ain't Nobody," and "I Feel For You." Chaka Khan's soulful voice combined with a mix of rhythm & blues, jazz, pop, fusion and funk has made her one of the greatest and most influential voices of our time.

NOTE: Boy George was scheduled to perform at "Not Just Song & Dance" but withdrew from the agreement.

WHEN:
Saturday, May 5, 2001 7 p.m.

WHERE:
Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers 301 E. North Water

TICKETS:
$300 per person; $500 per person priority seating and recognition; $3,000 for tables of 10. All tickets include a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, dessert, entertainment and dancing. Tickets can be purchased by calling 312-922-2322, ext. 350. Funds raised through "Not Just Song & Dance" support the AIDS Foundation of Chicago's grant-making program, which, since 1988, has provided nearly $10 million to support AIDS care, prevention, education and advocacy projects throughout the Chicago area. Established in 1985 to coordinate local response to the epidemic, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago is the largest source of philanthropic support for AIDS programs in the Midwest.
