The Illinois Alliance for Sound AIDS Policy (IL ASAP) first wore the shirts on March 1, 2011 as many HIV/AIDS advocates turned out for Lobby Days in Springfield donning IL ASAP’s ‘HIV Positive’ t-shirt. IL ASAP then launched the public, year-long anti-stigma campaign on March 25, 2011.
After you buy it shirt, wear it for a day out in the world to make a statement about stigma, silence and stand with people impacted with HIV/AIDS. Then, head over to the Anti-Stigma Campaign’s Facebook page to post photos and share your experiences with other participants!

The Illinois Alliance for Sound AIDS Policy fights each day to protect the civil rights of and medical and social services for HIV-positive individuals but, we need YOU, the public, to stand with us to help put an end to the stigma which prevents HIV-positive individuals from getting tested and treated and fighting for the medical services they need to survive.
