What is CommunityDirect? CommunityDirect is an AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) program in which 100% of all money raised by an HIV/AIDS service organization team is returned directly to the participating agency.
Since 2007, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago has returned more than $800,000 in fundraising to participating HIV/AIDS service providers throughout Chicagoland. The average amount returned to a CommunityDirect Team is $4,305.
How does my organization become a CommunityDirect Team? In order to participate in CommunityDirect, the agency must belong to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s Service Providers Council (SPC) – a coalition of organizations involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
To join the SPC and begin fundraising for your agency, download the Service Provider’s Council Application.
Once you registered with AFC’s SPC, register your team online at aidsrunwalk.org under the CommunityDirect team category and begin fundraising!
Is there a fundraising deadline? All money raised by a CommunityDirect team must be submitted online or turned in at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago by Friday, October 14, 2011. For additional information, contact Rhett Lindsay at (312) 922-2322. |
