Global AIDS Initiative Grants $30,000 to Local Agencies
At the 2006 World of Chocolate, AFC announced the recipients of the second-annual Global AIDS Initiative. This grantmaking program benefits local, community-based organizations that collaborate or partner with an international organization to conduct global HIV prevention, advocacy, or treatment programs. AFC held a competitive submission process, and the following eight agencies were chosen to receive grant awards. Special thanks to Abbott Laboratories for their generous support of the Global AIDS Initiative.
