TREATMENT

Howard Brown Health Center Recovering with Pride Program

Recovering with Pride is an integrated LGBT treatment program utilizing mental health, social services, medical care, and substance abuse counseling to address the whole person. Some insurance plans accepted and sliding scale available. Outpatient services offered six days a week. Saturday drop-in from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Crystal Clear track for those struggling with meth begins late summer 2005. Treatment structured to address the unique challenges of meth abuse, addiction, and recovery. Crystal Clear will have no charge slots available.

Provides comprehensive psychiatric and addiction-related treatment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals. The program offers a safe, affirming therapeutic environment for members of the LGBTQ community.

Contemplations
Contemplations is a space to explore the effects of drugs and alcohol offered at Howard Brown Health Center. Members of the LGBTcommunity who may be questioning their substance use, recently stopped using, or just want to learn more about the effects of drugs and alcohol are welcome to drop-in. No registration required and no fee charged for participation.

LGBT Family & Partner Support Group
This is an eight-week support group at the Center on Halsted for people with significant others or family members who are struggling with substance abuse. The group will create a safe, therapeutic environment for members to process feelings of anger, frustration, and helplessness and to share thoughts and strategies about how to cope and to improve the situation.
