Our Work – Housing Grants

Housing Grants

Housing grants from AFC, through Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA), provide housing to people living with HIV. AFC coordinates housing through 20 agencies for more than 1,600 individuals each year. 713 individuals received housing with additional intensive supportive services to help them to thrive as they achieve housing stability. About 75% of AFC’s housing clients are virally suppressed.

Viral suppression supports one’s individual and community health, as someone who is virally suppressed is healthier and cannot pass HIV sexually to their partners – this is known as U=U or Undetectable=Untransmittable.

If you are a nonprofit organization and interested in being part of AFC’s housing or case management system, please check our request for proposal page (RPF) below. Announcements of our grantmaking will be updated on the RFP page and via our social media and email. If you are a landlord and interested in becoming part of AFC’s housing network, please contact AFC at [email protected].
