Are you living with HIV, taking PrEP or need HIV testing? We can help! The AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Center on Halsted can help with emergency financial assistance (rent, utility payments) for people who are living with HIV and who are HIV-negative and taking PrEP. We can also link people living with HIV to medications, case management, medical care, food, mental health, substance use treatment and more. We can connect people vulnerable to HIV to PrEP, HIV testing, medical care and more. Call the HIV Resource Hub at 1-844-HUB-4040. Services are available in Chicago, Cook County and the Collar Counties (the Chicago Metropolitan Area).
AFC is proud to announce a new program that will support people living with HIV and AIDS or who are using PrEP and experiencing financial crises due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This assistance will be available beginning April 1, 2020. This program will allow AFC to assist individuals in the Chicago Metropolitan Area with rental payments, mortgage payments, utility assistance, including cell phone and internet payments, and emergency food assistance.
Applications will be completed by staff at the HIV Resource Coordination Hub and AFC. Case managers and clients must contact the Chicago-area HIV Resource Coordination Hub at 1-844-482-4040 to access these funds.
