Our work

Policy & Advocacy

Policy and advocacy initiatives spearheaded by AFC work to improve services for, and protect the rights of, people living with and vulnerable to HIV.  Through partnerships with the HIV/AIDS community, local service providers, and statewide and national partners, AFC leverages expertise to achieve legislative support for the 42,500 people living with HIV and AIDS in Illinois.

Given this breadth and depth of knowledge and network, AFC looks to work collaboratively toward ending the HIV epidemic and creating a state where all Illinoisans can thrive.
