What can you do to help fight AIDS? Here are three ways you can get involved throughout the year:
- Join the Statewide Advocacy Network! Your membership will subscribe you to the weekly listserv, the Online Action Bulletin.
Each week, you will receive alerts about HIV/AIDS issues, and be asked to "take action" when your involvement can make a critical difference. Your Online Action Bulletin subscription will keep you informed about current legislation, and will enable you to communicate with your legislators, so you can make your voice heard - right from the comfort of your own computer! Sign up today.
- Attend an awareness or fundraising event.
AFC hosts special events and educational conferences that raise both critical funds and needed awareness in the fight against AIDS. From black-tie affairs to grassroots outreach events to Service Providers Council forums, AFC's events are as diverse and exciting as the communities we serve.
- Volunteer for an event.
The AIDS Foundation of Chicago provides exciting opportunities for individuals who are interested in volunteering to help with our events. Volunteers are needed for set-up, selling raffle tickets, greeting people, clean-up and a host of other important tasks. From time to time, volunteers are also needed to assist with administrative office assignments.
