Since 1985, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) has made a difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS in Chicago and across Illinois.
Those efforts have been made possible by people like you, who are committed to serving the HIV/AIDS community in Illinois and able to contribute financially to the cause.
AFC provides case management services to more than 5,500 people per year.
1,175 of those clients were provided housing assistance to bring stability to their lives and help them stay in medical care.
In 2013, almost 9,000 people were screened for HIV through AFC's innovative and cost-free outreach initiatives.
Almost 200 professionals were trained to be advocates for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) last year through AFC's Project RSP!
During the first open enrollment period for health care plans made possible through the Affordable Care Act, AFC provided 5,495 people with health insurance education and enrollment assistance.
