Beth Frantz is the Chief Financial Officer at AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC), where she brings more than two decades of mission-driven leadership to the intersection of finance, equity, and social change. A dynamic and purpose-led executive, Beth has dedicated over 24 years to strengthening nonprofit organizations across sectors including healthcare, food security, environmental sustainability, and HIV/AIDS advocacy.

While she has served as CEO of the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and stepped into multiple Interim CEO roles throughout her career, Beth’s deepest passion lies in financial leadership—where she excels at building resilient infrastructures, enhancing fiscal transparency, and driving strategic growth. As CFO, she is known for her ability to align financial stewardship with bold organizational missions, turning complex challenges into sustainable solutions.

Beth’s career has been defined by her commitment to equity and justice. She has led financial and operational transformation efforts for organizations that serve marginalized communities, advance LGBTQ+ rights, combat food insecurity, and protect our environment. Her strategic vision focuses on long-term sustainability, internal control improvement, and system-wide efficiencies that empower nonprofits to expand their impact.

A Chicago native, Beth and her wife Lori relocated to Tucson in 2007, where they have remained deeply engaged in community-centered work. In October, they will return to Chicago—alongside their two beloved dogs, Stevie Nicks and Gracie—renewing their shared commitment to contributing meaningfully to the city they call home.
