Nan Silva joined AFCs board in 2016. She currently serves as Program Director at Community Memorial Foundation, where she has worked since 1999. She has worked in philanthropy for 25 years; prior to that, Nan worked in the nonprofit and academic research arenas, including the fields of domestic violence, HIV/AIDS risk reduction in women and adolescents, teen pregnancy prevention, smoking cessation, and behavioral health. She has served on the boards of Chicago Women in Philanthropy, Heartland Alliance-Heartland Health Outreach, the Illinois Center for Violence Prevention, and the Illinois Association for Infant Mental Health.
