Peter Toepfer serves as Senior Vice President of Housing for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Executive Director of AFC’s subsidiary, the Center for Housing and Health. In those roles Peter advances innovative models to address the needs of people living with HIV or chronic conditions who are experiencing homelessness. Peter has been working with people who are homeless for the past fifteen years in both direct service and leadership roles. He currently leads several large collaborations of service providers and health care organizations to address systemic barriers facing people who are homeless and living with chronic health conditions, including HIV. Peter is a member of several advisory boards including the HIV Housing Task Force, Cook County H2 Strategic Plan Leadership Council and proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the National AIDS Housing Coalition as well as the Chicago Continuum of Care. He completed undergraduate work at Boston College and graduate studies at DePaul University.
