Dear Friends:

It is with pleasure that I announce that, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC), we have appointed John Peller as AFC’s new president/CEO.

After a rigorous national search, the board unanimously decided John was the best person to lead the organization. Given his proven leadership and accomplishments in the sector coupled with his keen knowledge of navigating the new health care landscape, John is uniquely equipped to move our organization and the HIV/AIDS community forward.

A nationally and locally recognized leader in the field, John most recently held the position of interim president/CEO at AFC. Previously, he led AFC’s advocacy and policy work at the city, state and national levels as vice president of policy.

In John’s own words:
“I am honored to lead AFC during a time of unprecedented opportunity to impact the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We are in a stronger position than ever before to support individuals living with HIV/AIDS and to virtually end new infections. I look forward to partnering with individuals and organizations throughout our community to meet the needs of people living with and vulnerable to HIV.”

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming John as president/CEO of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

Sincerely,

Ben Stringfellow
AFC Board Chair
